
Ron has been with the Tampa Bay Runners since 2008 and the President of the running club since 2012. He is also the race director for a race presented by the Tampa Bay Runners called The Strawberry Classic Race which will be having its 40th anniversary on March 20, 2021.
TBR is one of the oldest, non-profit running clubs in the state of Florida. TBR is also the “parent” running company for several running clubs throughout Florida as they were started by former members. TBR has raised over $74,000 in the past 10 years to benefit their charities which include Meals on Wheels of Tampa and the Children’s Dream Fund. TBR accepts runners/walkers of all abilities and ALWAYS makes sure to leave no one behind.

What is your favorite PR?: My 1:57 at the 2011 Jacksonville Bank Half Marathon (my first sub 2 hour half)
Are you more of a winter runner or summer runner?: I am more winter runner as I run best when I can breathe well.
Have you ever been injured from running/triathlon?: Yes, an assortment of injuries including Achilles, knee, hip and foot.
Do you have a pre-race routine?: Yes, I normally need at least an hour before a race to stretch, drink fluids, eat some small amount of food like peanut butter cracker, peanuts or raisins.
What is the farthest you have ever run at one time?: My farthest is 26.2 miles which is when I do marathons.
